Mr Nelson Makgoba has extensive experience in the Information Technology and Marketing sector extending up to 23 years. He started work on a Service Corps project with the Dept of Defence which entailed integration of uMkhonto we Sizwe soldiers into SANDF soldiers. In 1998 Mr Nelson Makgoba worked as a logistics/assets manager for the Independent Electoral Commission for a duration of three years, He was also instrumental in the results management centre which was the first digital results (Digital Score Boards) in South Africa. Mr Nelson Makgoba continued to work for the ZCCM (Zambian Consolidated Copper Mines) in Kitwe in charge of logistics management and asset management for the mines. He also assisted with the Nigerian elections, Mr Nelson Makgoba was in the first group of South African sales executive to be trained in Documentum Solution in Europe which was sold to South African Government departments. In 2006 he consulted for the Department of Home Affairs on Home Affairs national identity system (HANIS) for 11 Years on HANIS(Home Affairs National Identification System) and implementing a live capture system, Mr Nelson Makgoba was also instrumental in the purchasing of the new passport machine at GPW.
